Bulk Sales Head – Agri Commodities

Job Description: 

Cedar Retail, within the Food & FMCG Strategic Business Unit (SBU), is seeking an experienced and results-driven Bulk Sales Head to establish and manage a robust bulk sales network for our agri commodities business. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both domestic and export sales, with a deep understanding of commodity markets within India and abroad. 

 Package : CTC 15-18 Lakhs per annum


  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive bulk sales strategy to maximize revenue and profitability for Cedar Retail’s agri commodities business, including sugar, rice, pulses, edible oil, and others. 
  2. Identify and establish relationships with bulk buyers, traders, wholesalers, and institutional customers, both domestic and international, to expand sales channels and market reach. 
  3. Lead negotiations and contract discussions with bulk buyers to secure favorable terms and agreements for the sale and distribution of agri commodities. 
  4. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, logistics, and finance teams, to ensure seamless execution of bulk sales transactions and timely delivery of products to customers. 
  5. Analyze market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks within the agri commodities market, adapting strategies as needed. 
  6. Develop and implement marketing and promotional initiatives to drive demand and visibility for Cedar Retail’s agri commodities among bulk buyers and institutional customers. 
  7. Monitor sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking progress against targets and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve sales goals. 
  8. Manage relationships with export agencies, shipping companies, and regulatory authorities to facilitate export sales of agri commodities and ensure compliance with export regulations. 
  9. Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to bulk sales of agri commodities, ensuring compliance in all aspects of sales and distribution. 
  10. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the bulk sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field. MBA preferred. 
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in bulk sales, trading, or procurement, preferably in the agri commodities industry, with a track record of success in domestic and export sales. 
  3. Deep understanding of commodity markets, trading practices, and supply chain dynamics within India and abroad. 
  4. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and agreements with bulk buyers and institutional customers. 
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market data, interpret trends, and make data-driven decisions to drive sales and profitability. 
  7. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and quality. 
  8. Entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking, with a passion for driving innovation and growth in a dynamic business environment.
